Logan House Details
History of The Lily House: The Lily House was built in 1875. It has been well cared for and updated for comfortable lodging. This property, which is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places, was the original Wellsville Relief Society Meeting House. In 1875 the Relief Society was the women's organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was responsible for assisting those in need and aiding new settlers to Cache Valley. The Lily House derives its name from the Sego Lily, which was selected as the emblem of Relief Society because of its usefulness in sustaining life in the early pioneer settlements.
Cache Valley was originally settled by pioneers in 1856. Wellsville, then known as Maughan's Fort, was the first settlement in the valley. A tabernacle was erected between 1902 and 1908 and is located directly across the street from the Lily House. Step back in time when you stay in this well-preserved historical home.
