- We prefer to sleep 4 maximum, however, our sofa is a very high quality pull out. 2 couples may choose to use pull out and not use the twin trundle in Bedroom 2. Bedroom 2 is best for 1 adult or 2 children. If you need a porto-crib and high chair we have 1 set shared by 2 houses so please tell us in advance!

Why Guest Keep Returning to The 1826 Barn:: The 1826 Barn was designed with luxurious interior features and with couples or small families in mind. For your comfort and to better care for the property we discourage overcrowding. All furniture is new, high quality and comfortable. The cottage has separate, large capacity washer/dryer, full kitchen and gas fireplace. Our property is located on Route 108, one of 3 Scenic By Ways in Vermont. All the homes on this street are historical and the village of Jeffersonville is also designated by Vermont as a Historically Registered Village. Our property has 8 acres of hiking and snowshoe trails with views of the ski slopes.
Greenview is a Refuge for All Seasons: Jeffersonville, population 550, is almost unchanged since its founding in 1820. You will want to return again and again. Specific attractions include: 6 art galleries, 4 great restaurants, 2 bakeries, 2 taverns, 3 delis and a small grocery. Boyden Farms is a well known winery with regular tours and events. There are local sugar houses, farm tours and craft markets, including a quilt shop. Outdoor winter, sports include skiing, snowshoe, snowmobile, snowboarding, cross country ski. Summer: swimming, hiking, cycling, mountain bike, fly fish, rock/mountain climbing, horseback. You rent or hire the following in town: Dog Sled, Horse Sleigh, Horse Carriage, Canoe/Kayak, Skis, Horseback, Mountain Bike. Our website has links to all these activities so guests can easily plan from home.
What we provide our guests.: We provide a private hot tub for cottage guests, hotel quality towels and sheets, cooking utensils, satellite TV/DVD, WiFi. We ask that you take out your household trash and perishable food when you leave. Everything you will need is in the house and you can walk to restaurants, taverns, grocery and galleries/shops. Your dog or dogs are welcome but we ask that you clean up after them and not allow abuse of our furniture by pets. Most of our guests come back and we love to get photos of your family enjoying Greenview.
Ski: 5 minutes to ski at Smugglers Notch Ski Resort, 30 minutes to Stowe, 30 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort
