- Very comfortable mattresses!!! Wonderful sleeping! Pretty decor ! Some antiques. The MBR is like a romantic getaway or a perfect honeymoon suite in itself as one can enjoy the lovely, upscale room and open the French doors leading out onto the deck with rocking chairs overlooking the waterfall. The outdoor beauty comes right in the room as one gazes out onto the lush rhododendron covered mountainside and one hears the melodious sounds of the waterfall. Romantic ! Tranquility ! Delightful !

Hiking: Within 5 miles are marvelous hiking trails in Pisgah Forest. Well kept trails(easy to moderate, but a few strenuous) taking you to large, stunning waterfalls. You can swim (for free) in the pond at base of Hooker Falls in Dupont Forest ! Water shoes are advisable due to rocks on pond bottom. Whether eating in all kinds of restaurants, or hiking, or driving mt roads, or browsing through local shops(O P Taylors Toy store, White Squirrel(gift) Shop,very old timey Ace Hardware, Quilt Shop are among our favorites in Brevard)or attending various local festivals, or plays at Flat Rock Play House, or kicking back with a novel or a nap by the waterfall at our cottage, you will find great things to do.You can take local walks right out our front door to go gaze at the cows and river just down the road. If you are into thrift store shopping, Brevard has a 5-6 of those to keep you busy.
Other Activities: rock hopping, relaxing, napping,foosball, treadmill on porch for those so inclined!
