Fully furnished with a charming nature- themed decor, this Chalet style cabin with loft is the perfect getaway. Situated on 1.5 acres with level yard for children to play. Just step out the door for Hiking, Mtn. biking, Birding & Nature trails. Only 2 miles up the road for Fishing, Boating/Water skiing/ Jet skiing on beautiful Hiwassee Lake. If you need more to do, it's location makes it a perfect base from which to go day tripping. Western NC is an outdoor lovers dream. Also, bordering Georgia to the south and Tennessee to the west, many area attractions are within a two hour scenic drive in any direction.

Murphy, NC is a small mountain town snuggled into the rugged Nantahala National Forest in the southwest corner of North Carolina. Bordering both Georgia and Tennessee, it's location makes it a perfect base for exploring the natural beauties of all 3 states. Step out your door for Hiking, Mtn. Biking, Birding & Nature Watching. Swimming, Boating/ Water Skiing /Jet Skiing and fishing just 2 miles away at Hiwassee Lake. Bring your own boat or you can rent one at the Marina. Great Smoky Mtn. National Park, Nantahala River rafting, Scenic drives on Cherohala Skyway & Foothills Parkway-Motor cyclists 'Tail of the Dragon.' Whitewater rafting & kayaking on the Ocoee River. Scenic train rides on the Blue Ridge R.R. or Smoky Mtn. R.R. . Picnic, hike and swim at the many state parks & take scenic drives to the tri-states numerous waterfalls. Cuddle up in the living area w/ WOODSTOVE for movies, books & games. * $75 a night rate is for 2 people. For each additional guest, add $5 per person/ per nite (ie: Group of 4, $85 per night). Christmas wk $100 per night/ 6 people

  • Summers are perfect with 80 degree days and 60 degree nights. Surrounded by large leafy trees and with cool mtn. breezes we rarely ever need to turn on the air conditioning. Fall colors are amazing here. Winter is temperate. Snows only enough to be picturesque. Spring is gorgeous with all the trees & flowers blooming.
  • Refundable Security/ Damage Deposit: $200 paid at time of booking.
    Check in time 4pm. Check out time 10am.
    Cleaning fee $75, for up to 6 people. Additional occupant add cleaning fee of $10.

Guest Book: We wouldn’t change a thing! The cabin was ideal. Our three children enjoyed our hiking and fishing outings. We rented a boat at Mountain View Marina and let the kids go tubing. It was such fun! Thanks for the use of your home! jwmassey@mac.com I wanted to tell you how very much we enjoyed our stay at Serenity. Your cabin is lovely and so comfortable - we didn't really want to leave to go anywhere else. We read and watched movies and put together jigsaw puzzles and were very lazy. Two mornings, we sat out on the deck enjoying a small fire and large mimosas. The foliage was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Thank you for sharing your special place with us. It was a vacation we will never forget. mccranie@bellsouth.net
