The Acorn is tucked away on a peaceful one acre lot. Kids as well as adults will enjoy lounging by the pond w/ waterfall and watching the fish and frogs.
Sit on the deck, drink your morning coffee and watch the humming birds. Relax on the deck with a glass of wine or hot chocolate, watch the stars and enjoy the cool summer nights or the clean autumn air. The kitchen is well-equipped for those who enjoy cooking. The living room has a remote control soapstone stove. Light it for a warm romantic evening or if you have been outside playing in the snow.
The master bedroom has a queen pillow top bed. Light the soapstone mini-franklin for warmth or romance.
Your kids will love their own sleeping area w/4 twin beds and game table.

Places of interest: Dan Hole Pond is only 1mile. Indian Mound Golf Course, Pizza Barn, White Lake State Park in Tamworth, Echo Lake, Diana's Bath and Cathedral Ledge in Conway. Diana's Bath is a short walk on a wooded path. When you get there you can sit on the rocks, soak your feet and enjoy a picnic lunch and the fall foliage. Scenic Kancamagus Hwy on Rt112 is a great drive to enjoy the scenery and the fall foliage. Story Land is a great place to spend the day with your children. Ski Attitash in Bartlett, ski Black Mountain in Jackson and browse through the Currio Shop in Jackson for many unusual hand crafted items and jewelry. Don't forget the North Conway outlet stores and many fine family restaurants.

- Steve and I really had fun with these bathrooms, especially the downstairs one. We bought and old oak bureau and mirror and used that for the sink. It has a shower w/removable shower head. The upstairs bathroom has a new sink base but is made to look old. The tub has two shower heads. One is removable the other is stationary. Great for giving children a bath.

- I think kids will really have fun in their own space. The bunk space has curtains that surround it for privacy or they can open them up if they choose. The door can be locked and has a dead bolt for added safety. There is a monitor heater and also a dehumidifier that drains outside. No need to empty it. It is a little loud; feel free to turn it off if you want to. Remember, to keep windows and door closed when it is running.

Monitor heater in basement, soapstone Franklin stoves w/ gas logs in living room and master bedroom.
We will supply ONE full roll of toilet paper for each bathroom.
You will have to have a way of transporting the canoe.
We supply some life jackets. At the moment I have 2 adult and 2 children's life jackets.
The adult ones are the orange ones that tie and the kid's have zippers.
