There are 4 main wine routes in Umbria, each offering stunning views of the countryside. Among the wines of Umbria are Orvieto, Torgiano, Montefalco Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso, Colli Altotibertini, Colli Perugini and Colli del Trasimeno. Strade del Vino Colli del Trasimeno is the route around the hills and shores of Lake Trasimeno. Strade dei Vini Etrusco Romana takes you through the most ancient wine lands of Umbria. Cantico Wine Route is signposted and includes the localities of Todi, Torgiano and Spello. La Strade del Sagrantino takes you through the vineyards of Bevagna, Montefalco, Castel Ritaldi, Giano dell'Umbria and Gualdo Catteneo. There are 17 wine cellars in and around Montefalco.

The Umbria Jazz Festival is, without a doubt, one of the most important events dedicated to jazz in Europe.
