Raymond House Summary
Looking for the vacation of a lifetime? Come and relax in Raymond on pristine Panther Pond. Enjoy the deck and the hammock overlooking the water with loons and blue herons. There is a great backyard with plenty of lawn space for the kids to play games in, or catching some rays in a lounge chair. This spacious lakefront house is tastefully decorated and recently renovated. The large bedrooms (with king, queen, full/twin size beds) are well suited for two families. Our dead-end street is a safe place for kids to walk or bike. A boat ramp is available on the street (boat size 19' or less). The house is on a calm, protected cove. The water is not too deep but gradual (6 feet the deepest part). Most people will prefer swimming at the beautiful private shared sandy beach 200 yards away (visible from house) using our very stable sea kayak, canoe or 5 person pedal boat, as there is underwater vegetation off our dock area. The owners live only 20 minutes away if help is needed.

If you like to kayak, you can navigate the Tenny River that connects Panther Pond to Crescent Lake, or use a smaller motor boat. If you like hiking, Rattlesnake Mountain is four miles away. If you prefer a giant lake, the public boat launch of Sebago Lake is less that 2 miles from the house. If you like to golf, Point Sebago Golf Course, rated #1 in Southern Maine Golf Digest, is only 10 min away. If you like big cities or shopping or eating, visit Portland with its great Art Museum, Children's Museum, Portland's Old Port and excellent restaurants. If you want to visit the flagship store of LLBean, Freeport is not very far! The White Mountains of NH with hut to hut hiking is only 1 hour away.
