Nearby is the Washout with the best surfing in the Southeast. A large, screened porch just above the marsh provides a quiet setting for breakfast or sipping a cold drink as the sun goes down. The sun worshiper may lie by the pool or on the dock.

Heading out in the opposite direction takes you to Charleston, about a 20-minute drive, with its world famous historic homes, award-winning restaurants, and nearby plantations and gardens. Either direction leads you to the unspoiled charm of the Low Country of South Carolina.
