Covered Lanai: The house has a lovely covered lanai for protection from the sun or if you are a sun lover, there is a nice grassy area between the house and the ocean where you can soak up the sun’s rays. During the winter months and early spring, you may have the opportunity to see the humpback whales that migrate from Alaska. If the surf is not too high, you can see the whales breathing and breaching right from the lanai. Other wildlife may be seen from the lanai, such as turtles, rays, and the occasional surfer.

Beach area: Directly in front of the house is a flat rocky surface with sandy beach to the right or the left. Access to the water directly in front of the house is over a flat rock/coral shelf. Walk to the left and you will come to a little beach park where Kukaimanini Island is located. Walk to the right and you will end up at Kawela Bay, a gorgeously beautiful, exclusive area. Kawela Bay is so shallow in parts that, at times, you may wade through the water to the sandy beach of Kawela Bay, depending on the tide. Once you get to the sandy part of Kawela Bay, you may continue walking all the way to the exquisite newly renovated Turtle Bay Resort. Sandy beach is approximately100-200 yards away in either direction.

Golf courses within five miles: There are two championship golf courses within 1-2 miles of the house. They are the Arnold Palmer and George Fazio courses. These two excellent courses are both located at The Turtle Bay Resort. For those on a budget, there is also the Kahuku Golf Course. This course is in a beautiful location. Many of the holes have terrific views of the ocean. It is an inexpensive country course located in Kahuku less than 5 miles from the house. The road to the course is across the street from Kahuku High School at the traffic signal.
