Santa Fe Special Events Year Long: The Santa Fe Opera is just 15-20 minutes away and is a summer long event, from the house it is a quick drive and stop at Tesuque Market to pick up a picnic before the event. The Santa Fe /Aspen Ballet is a yearly event ,there are also weekend festivals all summer long, Spanish Market and the largest Indian Market in the US with native artists from around the world coming to SF the 3rd weekend of August. Albuquerque has featured their World Famous Hot Air Balloon Fiesta starting the first weekend in October for many years, enjoy a dawn flight or evening light show and than you have SF to get away to. Like you might guess spaces filled up fast so get your spot now. Like New England Fall in Santa Fe is beautiful, the mountains are blanketed in gold and one block from the house is Artist Road a great drive up to the mountains with hiking along the way, stop at 10,000 Waves on the way back for that massage or Japanese Hot Tub. Santa Fe has something for everyone all year.
Driving From Albuquerque Airport: Exit car rental area and head North on I-25, stay in middle or left lane. Take exit 282 US-84N, US 285N, St. Francis Dr.,Santa Fe-Plaza. on right for about 0.2 miles. Take US-84-N, St. Francis Dr, Los Alamos, Taos, Santa Fe-Plaza ramp on left for 9.7 miles. Continue onto US-84N which is US-285 N, S. St. Francis Dr. for 3.6 miles. Turn sharply right onto NM 589E. which is Paseo de Peralta after 1.0 miles. Turn sharply left onto NM - 590 Washington/Bishops Lodge Road at the Pink Masonic Temple. for 0.3 miles. After the traffic light for Artist Road 101Callecita is on the next corner on the right side of the road. Pull into the driveway.
