Petoskey Cottage Summary

You cannot stay any closer to the water than this without staying on a houseboat. This bend on the famous Inland Waterway has been known for 100 years as 'The Devils Elbow' on the Crooked River. If you have never experienced the Inland Waterway you should click on the website at the bottom of the page under 'Links to more information'. This website gives you a beautiful tour of the 45 mile waterway. Having a boat, however, is not a must. Sitting on our spacious boardwalk, which goes around the river's edge, feels like you are on a boat. If you do bring a boat, or rent one, just cleat it off to one of the many spots on the boardwalk, or pull it into the attached boathouse, and walk in the cottage door!

Petoskey Cottage Details

The cottage has a full kitchen with snack bar or enjoy a meal on the river's edge in the spacious screened-in porch with picnic table and lounge chairs. At night you can roast hotdogs on the portable bon fire by the large trout pond in the back yard listening to the artesian well flowing out of the middle, or if your into the fast lane try your luck at one of the casinos within a few minutes at either St. Ignace or Petoskey. Spend the day fishing off the boardwalk for pike, perch, and small-mouth bass, or take the kids to Mackinaw Island, the ferry is just 25 miles away. This cottage is very clean and cozy; all done in knotty pine. Spend a week in beautiful northern lower Michigan at 'The Devils Elbow' on the Crooked River.
