Florence Apartment Summary

Elegant apartment in the historic center of Florence. Centrally located in one of the oldest streets in Florence, in the Via La Pergola area, near the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio etc. Very convenient for sightseeing. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful. It is located in a delightful city-centre small 'neighborhood' with its own good, reasonably-priced restaurants, coffee-bars and artisan shops, not far from the open-air food market of Sant'Ambrogio. The apartment has been restored with immense care, using the finest Tuscan materials, with fine tiles, parquet floors and marble bathroom. It is really well decorated. It is airy and bright, with a small terrace. The beamed entrance hall is set up as a second living-room so the apartment has a really spacious feel - 805 square feet. It is ideal for 2/3 people. Internet access. Really good A/C (included in price). It is on the third floor (in US terms fourth floor). There is no elevator; the only drawback of this perfect apartment.

Florence is one of the most popular destinations in the world and deservedly so. Its stunning art and architecture, museums, churches and galleries, great food and wine are world-famous. Outside Florence, you can explore nearby gems like Siena, Cortona, San Gimignano and the wonderful Chianti countryside. Florence is a lively city, with open-air markets. S. Ambrogio market is a short walk from the apartment. There are numerous theatres and music throughout the year. A trip to Fiesole, in the hills above Florence, is about 20 minutes by No. 7 bus and well recommended. In the summer, there are several public swimming pools and the beach is 1 hour away (frequent trains); there is skiing in the winter in Abetone not far from Florence. We are happy to provide details. Florence Apartment Details

Visitors Book: A delightful home from home, and great to get back to after our days out. The flat is much bigger than it seems! It is really spacious. We were amazed - we were not expecting anything like this level of comfort. Try the coffee bar up the street on the corner - awesome! A tip: go marketing in the open-air Sant'Ambrogio market for food like we did: better and less crowded than the big market at San Lorenzo, and just around the corner. Those flights of stairs got us so fit - we worked off all the great meals!

Your home in the heart of Florence: The apartment is located in a genuine Florentine neighborhood, full of life and all services like pharmacy, coffee-shop, antique dealer's, hairdressers just a few steps away. By renting an apartment, you get to share in the life of the city and the neighborhood. There is a supermarket nearby but you may want to try shopping in the nearby Sant'Ambrogio open-air market: it is the one used by the locals so you know its got to be good!

Churches and Synagogue: There are several Anglican and Episcopalian Churches in Florence and the historic Synagogue is within walking distance of the apartment.
