Lovely home in a safe pretigious gated community: The Currituck Club and The Hammocks has security for your convenience and safety. This gated community is a place to relax and know that your family is enjoying the best the Outer Banks has to offer in one of then most upscale and safest of areas on the Outer Banks. Lifeguarded beach access Memorial -Labor Day. The Rec Center for the community has a fitness room (ages 16+), Rec Room for all ages, with parent or guardian; with pool table, ping pong, air hockey game, arcade games, TV. The centers hours depend on the day and time of year. Contact the center for hours once you have arrived. Outside there are tennis courts, playground, basketball courts, etc. Additional tennis courts located closer to the Hammocks, many community pools, walking and biking paths. The Trolley runs every 30 minutes to take you to the beach & other amenities in the community.
Gorgeous wide white beaches of the Atlantic: Corolla beaches were named one of the top 10 beaches in the country. They are wide, white sandy beaches, miles and miles to walk and for beach combing. The beach access has a great bath house, walkway and parking area if you prefer to drive vs. taking the trolley. The access has a lifeguard on duty Memorial Day-Labor Day. Further north of Corolla you may take your 4 wheel drive and drive the beaches. Beach is really only 1 mile from the house if that, however, the Proper Beach Access is the 3 Miles listed. The Snack Shack at the access sells snacks/beverages, they rent chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, bogie boards, surf boards, etc.
Heated Pool, pools & more pools!: Swim in your own Private Heated Saltwater pool (salt/chlorine combination-easier on the skin, eyes & digestive system), relax in your own hot tub or use one of the 5 swimming pools for the community with their own bath houses. The pools are great places to meet your neighbors and let the kids play with other children while you unwind. The community pool for the Hammocks is just yards away for older children and teens, as well.
Golf: View of the course from the house. Tee times need to be made 2 weeks in advance!! Prime time for 1 person fees are $175 per person (rates include green fees & cart). Twilight discounts begin at 2pm. Rates decrease for off/spring/fall seasons. Contact the owner for the Pro Shop # for these rates and to schedule Tee times. Driving Range available, cost $6 or $10. Rates Subject to change! Greens maintenance will start Sept 5, 07 & limited greens will be be available.
