The flooring is all new tile with throw rugs. The Guest Bathroom is newly redone tile floor, maple wood single vanity w/ sink, mirror, maple storage cabinet, tub/shower combination, and a toilet.

- The 'Orchid' Master Bedroom will give you peaceful rest while enjoying the view of the lush tropical landscaping right outside of your window. The bedroom has a dresser, two night stands, walk-in closet, table lamps, telephone, dehumidifier, and an electric space heater. The 'Bamboo' Guest Bedroom also enables the visitor to enjoy a peaceful nights sleep on a comfortable full bed, and quality bedding. This room also has a dresser w/ mirror, two night stands, table lamps, an electric space heater, and a full closet. The guest bathroom is right outside the bedroom door. We have two full sofa's available in the living room area (they are not sofa beds) which can sleep 1 person each. We also have two small floor fold out futons that can sleep 1 average sized person each.

Volcanoes National Park: Take in the awe & splendor of Madame Pele at Volcanoes National Park. Hike across the floor of Kilauea-Iki crater or hike out to Halema'u ma'u, home of the fire goddess Pele. Update: AS OF 3/28/08 Halema'u ma'u Crater has a new vent which is pumping out S02 at a high rate. The VOG can be quite extensive in the area, please contact the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for current conditions. Plan ahead for the experience of a lifetime & hike out at night to view the flowing lava. Explore the many craters & lava tubes in the park. Sit & just be in the mother of creation.
Volcano Village: Volcano Village includes several restaurants, two grocery stores,a gas station, launderette, gift shops, art galleries, and a post office. Shop at our organic Sunday morning farmer's market at the Cooper Center. Visit & shop with the many artisians of the village. Marvel at the Hawaiian Quilting, or purchase some of the finest art you will ever experience. All inspired by the lush tropical surroundings, and the active Kilauea Volcano.
Historic Hilo Town: A 30 minute drive to Hilo, the island capital, for swimming, shopping, tours, etc. Fun Hilo Town with eclectic new and old shops. Check out the Kuhio Grill at the back of the Walmart shopping center. Sit & enjoy a meal at Cafe Pesto while taking in the beautiful Hilo Bay Scene. Visit the Mauna loa Macadamia nut farm, and experience the tour to see one of the islands biggest exports. Shop at the famous Hilo Farmers Market. Enjoy the fresh local produce, artists and tropical flowers. Visit the local zoo to enjoy the animals. Take a drive to see the 'Rainbow Waterfalls' or the 'Boiling Pots'. Drive around Banyan Drive and look to see what famous people planted the different Banyan trees. Golf at the Hilo Country Club along Hilo Bay. A 40 minutes to the North Hilo / Hamakua coast to see the waterfalls, and botanical gardens.
Golf: Golf at the only place in the world to play on top of an active volcano at the Volcano Golf & Country Club 18-hole course. Afterwards sit & enjoy a great lunch at the Volcano Country Club. Golf 18 holes at the Hilo Country Club & Golf Course along Hilo Bay.
