A drive 'down the hill' thru Morongo Vallley to Desert Hot Springs brings you to more golfing opportunities at Mission Lakes Country Club. It is also semi-private with open guest policy. You can book an early T-time and enjoy your morning on the course. Your return to Desert View in Joshua Tree brings you all the comforts of home in a mountain view setting. Enjoy cocktail hour with spectacular sunsets...a desert breeze cools the early evening.
HIGHLANDS AREA: Your location has Joshua trees in natural landscape as it was 100 years ago. Cactus gardens and bird watching are right outside the door. Come and enjoy the spectacular moods of desert light on 2 1/2 acres of view property. Covered patios expand your comfort to outdoor living.
STAR PARTIES in Joshua Tree National Park: 2008 Schedule...The Andromeda Astronomical Society hosts a program each month on a Saturday close to the new moon. Join local experts who set up telescopes for a public viewing just after dark. Meet at the parking lot on the right fork of the road in the picnic area of Hidden Valley (see NPS map) Don't be late!...the party lasts for 1 1/2 hrs. Join the group on Aug 2 at 8:00 PM, Sep 27 at 7:00 PM, Oct 25 at 6:20 PM, Nov 29 at 5:00 PM.
Other Activities: Pioneer Town built in 1940 is home of Old West movie set. Mock gun fights are staged on the street April-October.
