Wake to the sound of the surf, enjoy the sunrise over the ocean -- from your pillow or your private deck. The 2nd floor kitchen comes in handy for early risers or late-nighters. Bring your favorite bubble bath, fill the double tub, turn on the jets and unwind. The 'Dolphin Room' is popular among the children with a bunkbed, tables for games or puzzles, TV with DVD player, comfy loveseat sofa and ample floor space. Fishing pier, 4-wheel-drive beach access, public boat ramp, museum, aquarium, arcade, restaurants nearby. Kayak, surf board and bike rentals also nearby. Take the ferry to Southport, enjoy the Wilmington riverfront. Quiet and relaxing or action-packed. You choose.

Take a 3-minute drive to the Fort Fisher-Southport Ferry and spend the day at Southport. From there, about an hour's drive to Myrtle Beach. Drive 25 minutes to the Westfield Independence Mall in Wilmington. Check out the Island Gazette newspaper for local festivities.
