Golf: There are 2 Golf Courses in Ixtapa, which have swimming pools and tennis courts, Some of the Holes are directly on the ocean.
Sports: Volley Ball is every popular in Ixtapa and there a few games always being played on the beach which you can get into. Snorkeling at Las Gatas beach and Playa Coral on Ixtapa Island are excellent for snorkeling. There is also deep sea fishing and scuba diving. Horse back riding is available is several places. My favorites are Playa Linda and Barra de Potosi. there are bicycle trails that go for miles. There is bicycle and moped rentals. There is also parachute flying on the beach as well as banana boats and jet skis. Boogey boarding , body surfing and surfing are also done on the beach. Boogey boards are rented on the beach and sold all over town.
