There is a $100 refundable security deposit to ensure the cabin is not left with a mess or any major damage. The deposit is returned when the place is checked after your departure. We generally require payment upfront which includes the lodging cost, the 2% tax, and $100 refundable security deposit in order to ensure your reservation. Payment is made safely through Paypal (or by check); Paypal offers buyer protection services and also does not require you to set up an account in order to pay by credit card.

There are many free things to do in Washington DC, most of the places do not charge an admissions fee such as the Smithsonian Museum Complex. The Smithsonian Museum Complex which includes the National Zoo, the National Gallery of Art visit this website: http://si.edu/visit/. There are other places to visit such as George Washington's Mount Vernon home which is 20 miles south of Washington DC.
