Terrific Immediate Access To Back Country +Ocean: Fishing, crabbing, snorkeling and diving opportunities are truly excellent. From our 65-foot dock you will have direct access to the Gulf (Florida Bay) and a vast array of flats and shoals and channels. In addition by Proceeding easterly, a six-minute ride in your boat will take you under the Long Key Bridge and into the Atlantic Ocean. The reef is just five-and-one-half miles away. The property is spacious. On-site parking is ample. The property is completely walled in on the landward side and served by a hand operated access gate. The Hawks' Cay Resort, with its fine marina, charter boats, para sailing, restaurants, and other activities is available one mile away. There are two excellent sandy ocean swimming beaches at Sombrero Beach Road, Marathon and the Bahia Honda State Park at mile marker 38. For those who swim with their dogs, Coco Plum Beach in Marathon is the place.

Special discounts during OFF OFF season: The period from September 1 to December 15 we call the 'Off-Off Season'. Everything slows down, including rentals. We therefore offer very low rates for that period, $795.00 US/ week, plus an additional 10% discount for returning guests and personnel who are on active duty in the armed services and also for persons who are employed by an emergency service such as Police, Fire and Rescue, Park Rangers, Marine Police, etc. The fact that the off off season is slow is a boon for the educated traveler: 1. The traffic on the highways is sharply reduced; 2. The restaurants greet you with open arms; 3. You do not trip over another tourist too frequently. 4. The ocean and bay waters are up in the 80's F well into October and stay in the upper 70's well through November. 5. The waters are not only warm, but are very often very flat and inviting for boaters. 6. Boat rentals are readily available at reduced rates.

Property Location: Conch Key is a very small island located at the 'foot' (south westerly end) of the Long Key Bridge. The island is not part of Marathon, although it has Marathon mailing address. The Conch Key full time community is made up largely of commercial lobstermen and crabbers- a singularly independent and hardy group. There are no tourist shops on the island. In fact, except for a small convenience store located in the small hotel at the entrance to the island- there are no shops at all. However, never fear, those kind of facilities are available just 8 miles away in the City of Marathon, or 60 miles away in the famous and wonderful City of Key West. The map that is displayed on this website does not yet depict our little Conch Key. Just as well, me thinks.

Ski: Water skiing is popular. I know of no rental facility so bring your own equipment.

Golf: There is a really nice pitch and putt public course in Marathon. Key West boasts a quite fine golf public course with clubhouse, pro shop and 18 holes of well designed play.

Other Activities: Shopping, kayaking, boating, parasailing
