Villa des Oliviers is sunny, open, welcoming, and private, yet only a short walk to the sought-after town of St. Remy de Provence. The home has four bedrooms, two full baths, and sleeps up to six. Soaring ceilings grace the open fireplace living room and adjoining dining room. French doors lead out to a private patio overlooking the olive grove and a stunning vista of Les Alpilles mountains. A large and well-equipped kitchen adjoins the living room and dining room. Four attractive bedrooms, two full baths, and a small office/studio are on the two floors in an adjoining wing. St. Remy's location is ideal for exploring Provence by foot, bicycle, or car. The famous G.R. hiking trail is three minutes from the house. Avignon is 20 minutes drive, Arles 30 minutes, Marseilles and the Mediterranean a mere 45 minutes. Ninety percent of our guests fall in love with the house and the area and return. Come to beautiful St. Remy for a dream vacation!

Our home is located 20 minutes south of Avignon in the beautiful, historic town of St. Remy de Provence. The house itself is an easy 15 minute walk from the center of St. Remy. A must visit is the open air market held each Wednesday morning where fresh produce as well as local crafts are sold. Within easy walking distance is the hospital where Van Gogh stayed (it is open to the public). Our home is within a 5 minute walk of the French 'GR 6' trail system. Glanum which is a historic Greco-Roman ruin site is approximately 5 kilometers away. St. Remy is loaded with a wonderful variety of cafes and restaurants.

We have local property managers who fully familiarize our guests with our home, how it works and where all things are located. They are 'on call' for questions and emergencies and are wonderful to deal with (they live in St. Remy and know all of the 'less tourist spots').

Saint-Remy-De-Provence Villa Details

Villa des Oliviers: We call our home Villa des Oliviers as it sits in a sunny grove of olive trees. It is located 1 kilometer from the center of St. Remy. St. Remy is a wonderful and picturesque town with many historic sights and a rich history . . . Van Gogh was one of the more notable residents. We love the location for the sun, warmth, access to hiking, biking and exploring places like Glanum, the ruins of a Gallo Roman town built in the 3000 B.C. As you can imagine, the restaurants in the area are varied and of course wonderful. The house itself is very comfortable and is best suited for 2 to 6 people. The living room - dining room opens onto a wonderful patio that is private and looks out over the olive grove with the Les Apilles mountains as a backdrop.
