Who would be thinking this early about Fall?? You would! The cottages are located near great hunting and fishing and close to the Manistee National Forest. For the Snow-mobilers, this is on the trail (US Highway 10) just east of Baldwin. A great get-away with a warm gas stove and easy access to Baldwin, a cozy get away while you are enjoying the snow. Bathroom floor is heated, in case your feet are cold! The cottages feature 97 feet of lakefront all for yourself. There is a sandy bottom where the small ones can safely play. Great fishing so bring a rod! New paddleboat and row boat are included. Outside there are two picnic tables, fire pit, and gas grill. Bathrooms have been updated. New linens and pillow-top beds will make sleeping heavenly after a long day of fun. Two kitchens make life easy for a large crowd. TV, DVD, and a ton of games for your entertainment in case the weather does not cooperate every day.

Baldwin is 2 miles away and offers local eateries lsuch as Jones Ice Cream parlor (great ice cream!), Debbie's Bar and Grill, Government Lake Lodge Restaurant, and Cattails Cafe for homemade bread/toast for breakfast and lunch. There are several golf courses and even the local bowling alley. Baldwin hosts the Blessing of the Bikes In May each year and the Troutarama Festival is in July. Manistee National Forest and Pere Marquette River are just a few minutes away providing great hiking, biking, hunting and fishing. Lake Michigan and great sunsets are just 30 minutes away. Looking for entertainment for the adults? Manistee hosts casinos and Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula are great for delicious food and wine. Even the fabulous Mackinac Island is just a couple of hours away.

What to bring: The cottages are well equipped for your stay. We ask that you bring your own pillows (everyone loves their own pillow), blankets, and life jackets. Firewood is not included. There are many places nearby to get what you need, just look for the signs 'Firewood for sale'.
