Forest Beach House Details
5 Bedrooms & 5-1/2 Baths: There are two kings (with direct access to pool area), two queens, two twins which can be converted to a king size, and a large sectional (not a pull-out) in the front living room which can accommodate two guests. All bedrooms have a TV/VCR/DVD. Two baths have spa shower (multiple heads) & jetted tub combinations, one has a spa shower, and two are shower/tub combos. There is a convenient half bath which is accessed directly from the pool area plus an outside shower for rinsing off when returning from the beach.
Bike riding is very popular on the island with an extensive system of bike trails. Ride on the beach at low tide or to Coligny Plaza (1 mile) with its restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, grocery stores, beauty salons, movie, liquor store, island shopping and everyone's favorite ice cream store - “The Frozen Moo”. A personal favorite is the nearby day ferry to Savannah (ninety minutes each way). It docks in downtown Savannah and gives you four hours to explore the harbor area & historic district....sure beats the 2-hour drive! This is a non-smoking property, but you're welcome to smoke outside.
Other Activities: Beach - 600 feet/4 minutes, Sunbathing, Bike Rentals, Coastal Museum, Harbortown with its famous lighthouse, Day trip to Savannah (car or ferry)
