Only 2 miles from Durango Mountain Resort and 24 miles from historic Durango, endless activities await you, yet the 'Creek House' offers privacy and seclusion, feeling worlds away. The living space features an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, wood burning native rock fireplace, and endless windows enveloped in Evergreens. Bringing the outdoors 'in' is further enhanced with 3 outdoor decks offering sweeping views of mountains, aspen trees, Electra Lake, Hermosa Cliffs, Engineer Mountain, and Cascade Creek, which rushes dramatically below the home. Relax in your private 6 person hot tub on the deck while listening to outdoor speakers, play pool in the cozy game room.

Our creek side home is located near Purgatory ski area (Durango Mountain Resort) , an easy 30 minute drive north of Durango, Colorado on US 550. The famous historic mining town of Silverton in 20 miles north of Purgatory. The resort is home to many year-round activities for the whole family. The crowning feature of Purgatory is the dry Rocky Mountain powder snow. The average is a whopping 260 inches. (6.6 meters per year!) From Thanksgiving to Easter, 11 lifts service beginner to expert skiers and snowboarders. A 16 km groomed cross-country track is nearby: and thousands of acres of open cross country terrain is just ten miles away. Spring and Summer are the ideal time to see wildflowers in the high mountain meadows. Enjoy hiking, scenic chair lift rides, the alpine slide, 'Music in the Mountains' concert series, and many special events. Don't miss the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Steam Train, the Mesa Verde National Monument, rodeos, barbecues, and rafting on the Animas river.
