Camp Tightlines is located on raised piers over land adjacent to the waters of Lake Pontchartrain near New Orleans. There are unrivaled views of the Lake as you sit on the porch or relax under the large covered pier pavilion while the gentle waves lap at the pilings, lulling you into a relaxed retreat. The three-bedroom, two-bath vacation rental will accommodate nine guests in bedrooms. A large den and fully equipped kitchen have all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. A swim deck is great for a dip into the Lake; while the fishing pier from the pavilion can be bring the rewards of the great seafood found in the waters of New Orleans' Lake Pontchartrain. Or just relax in the newly renovated 18’ by 38’ in ground plaster swimming pool or the built in jacuzzi that can fit eight comfortably. Ideally situated between New Orleans and the fast-growing Mississippi Gulf Coast, Camp Tightlines offers a wide variety of activities for vacationing families, couples, or corporate travelers. There's swimming off the pier or in the newly renovated pool or fishing and crabbing off the pier, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Bring your boat for cruising, fishing or water sports. Camp Tightlines has its own boat launching ramp for 24 ft. bay boats or smaller watercraft. Fish at the end of the pier at night under the fishing lights which are well known for producing large speckled trout and red fish. Bring wave runners and tour the Lake. Use Camp Tightlines’ kayak and paddle the hundreds of acres and swamp lands off the bayou dock. We can arrange a traditional Louisiana fish fry, crab, shrimp or craw fish boil and even get you scheduled on a fishing charter.

Slidell House Details

Directions: Driving Directions 1. Exit airport terminal and continue left to take airport service road. (Do not exit airport grounds onto Airline Highway) 2. Continue around the airfield on the access road and follow signs to I-10 East. 3. Continue for approx. 6 MI and after passing the Bonnabel Exit, stay in the left lane. 4. The Interstate will fork. Keep left to Exit 230-East 610 to Slidell. (This will by-pass the downtown traffic) 5. I-610 will merge with I-10 in approx. 4.5 mi. 6. Continue again on I-10 East to Slidell for approx. 16 mi. 7. Exit at North Shore/Irish Bayou (Hwy 11) 8. Follow Hwy 11 across the 5 mi. bridge that crosses Lake Pontchartrain. 9. Turn left about mile after reaching the North Shore onto Carr Drive and go down about 1 miles never turning off Carr Drive until 345 Carr Dr.
