Food Beverage and Meals: These costs are not included in the rental price. Food and Beverages are paid for separately in cash directly to Rene, the House Manager. Rene gives the host an itemized receipt for the food and beverages at the end of the trip. MEALS- Guests can select their menu with Rene. He can be contacted via email prior to arrival. You need only discuss your arrival meal and beverage /alcohol requirements with Rene in advance. After arrival you can discuss the menu daily. The staff shops at the market each day. Meal Schedule- Guests can adjust this schedule daily based on their individual preferences. Meals are generally served at the following times: breakfast – 9:30 am, lunch – 2:00 pm, and dinner – 8:30 pm. Generally there are two courses at breakfast – fruit followed by a main course; and three courses at lunch and dinner – soup or appetizer, main course, and dessert. Hors d’oeuvres are served in the evening at the request of the guests.

Gratuity and Staffing Level: Gratuitiy- Customarily, at the conclusion of each trip, the guests give appropriate gratuity to the staff. Gratuity should be enclosed in envelopes and distributed to the staff prior to leaving. Rene will supply the names of the staff and their function to the host. Total gratuity is normally in the range of 10-20% of the total rental. Gratuity is not included in the rental price. STAFF-• House Manager • Cook• Waiter• Maid• Laundress• Gardener are included in the rental price. ADDITIONAL STAFF LEVELS- If more than 10 People are in a group- Extra help will be required and should be paid for separately (in addition to the rental rates). When extra help is required or if the host desires additional help for their guests-arrangements and payment for additional help should be made directly with Rene, the house manager, who has been with the house for 20 years. A price for the additional help will be given upon request.

DEPOSITS in Advance: RENTAL DEPOSIT- Advance deposit of one half of the rental amount is required to guarantee the reservation. Deposit, less $500, is fully refundable until 60 days prior to the rental. Final payment is due one week prior to rental date. Instructions for wiring deposit will be given upon agreement of dates.
