- Solid oak cannonball style beds adorned with down duvets and pillows along with very nice cotton sheets and blankets. We have an inflatable queen size bed if 2 more persons would like to stay. This bed is surprisingly comfortable and well constructed. It has it's own built in compressor and is completely off the ground like a regular bed. Sheets, comforter, and pillows are provided like our regular beds. There is nothing 'hotel grade' about this cottage. All towels are soft and luxurious and not white ! The beds are done beautifully with new high quality matching sheets with plush down duvets. 4 x-large pillows per bed - 2 foam and 2 feather. There are 2 terry cloth robes in each bedroom for lounging and using the private outdoor hot tub out on the back deck that overlooks the stunning vista of the Atlantic ocean perched high on a hill.

Halifax House Details
The 'feel' and geography of the local area: Nova Scotia is hilly, heavily wooded, and has hundreds of kilometers of coastline on the Atlantic. You are never more than an hour from the ocean anywhere on this peninsula. It is similar in shape and size to Florida but with only a fraction of the population. We are located on a hilltop overlooking a bay giving a stunning view of the ocean. The back yard slopes down to the shore.
Semi-Private Golf course within walking distance: Nearby is superb semi-private golf course Granite Springs - check it out at link below. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Halifax on the way to famed Peggy's Cove, Granite Springs is a 18-hole golf course that is both beautiful and challenging. The course layout, overlooking Shad Bay, offers a golfing experience that has become a favourite for local and visiting golfers alike. On Granite Springs, strategy is an invaluable asset that will help the thinking golfer avoid trouble. The fairways are narrow but you will be rewarded for a taking a little off the ball, and going for placement, not distance. The course is scenic, with granite outcroppings and a wide variety of wildlife. A camera is a must for first-time visitors, as you will want pictures of our wonderful golf holes.
