Travel time to area attractions: * 15 minutes middle of Asheville (Patton Ave.) * 15 minutes to miniature golf (on the way to downtown on Patton Ave.) * 20 minutes DOWNTOWN - visitor's center, Pack Place Education~ Arts & Science Center, Thomas Wolfe Memorial, Asheville Art Museum, Colburn Earth Science Museum, amazing dining and shopping galore! * 25 minutes BILTMORE ESTATE (via I-40) * 20 minutes Canton Park - community pool, playground, basketball courts roller blade trail and picnic tables. * 25 minutes WNC Nature Center (same area as the Biltmore Estate) * 25 minutes Asheville Municipal Golf Course (same area as the Biltmore Estate) * 25 minutes to entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway (all entrances are south of Asheville)
Hiking right on the property!: Several highlights of Newfound Farmhouse are the on-site hiking, sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch or sitting in the hot tub and admiring the view! A local highlight for children is the WNC Nature Center which offers animals in natural habitats, exhibits and animal petting area just 25 minutes drive in the same area as the Biltmore Estate. Canton Park is great for everyone, just a 20 minute drive, offering a swimming pool, playground, basketball courts and roller blading trail (which goes right by a river!) and we provide a small cooler and 2 collapsible chairs to take with you to the park. Being this close to activity laden Asheville and Canton, NC with gourmet restaurants, artist merchandise filled shops, the Biltmore Estate, and for both children and adults the WNC Nature Center and Canton Park, is what makes having Newfound Farmhouse as your vacation accommodations a 'location' smart decision! We're right in the middle of it all!
