Middlebury Cottage Rates
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- $1100 week, 350 weekend, $3100 month
- $350 a weekend, $1,100 a week, will prorate. I ask for 50 cleaning however-from past experience- I love doggies and they are welcome- but the cleaning fee is $100 due to past complaints from renters about dog hair! I now have two people go over the house with a fine tooth comb. Also, like all of Lake Champlain, there have been, recently, lots of weeds in the lake later in the summer - and in the fall. Not great for water dodge ball or swimming, although everybody seems to swim and go on their floats and love it- but fifteen feet out, no weeds at all due to closeness of channel. Bonfires at night on the beach, Sitting on the porch and watching the boats. This is a place for couples or small families who like to read, be intimate, hike, walk, dine, tour history, bike, beach comb, fish. Golf or play tennis. (free courts in Middlebury at the college
Public access down the road about 1/4 mile for any size boat. You can rent kayaks, I have a flat bottom boat with put put motor and canoe - $1,100 week. $350 weekend. Pro-rate.

- simple, cozy- lots of books. Sleeping is beyond words here, with the silence, or crickets and birds, and the intermittent moan of a train which makes its way up the other side of the lake to Montreal in the night, and morning.
