It is a very light and airy apartment, recently renovated, with all new furnishings, floors, paint, air conditioning, full bathroom with tub and bidet. The balcony overlooks interior of the block, filled with backyard gardens, in the distance 2 blocks away you can see the polo grounds. It is a very chic (Greenwich Village style) neighborhood. Four square block area filled with restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and eclectic shops. Downtown B.A. location, 2 blocks from the Polo grounds, site of the international Argentine Open, the other side is Av Libertador, the most famous avenue through downtown B.A, a couple of blocks away is the race track, as well as Palermo square, which has many attractions, a golf course that costs 50 pesos, is a 5 minutes taxi ride away (caddy can cost you an additional 30 pesos), one of the best steak houses (Campo Bravo) is located 1/2 block away. Anyone who knows downtown B.A. will tell you this is one of the most coveted locations.

Many major attractions are located within easy walk or taxi ride. River Plate football stadium, Polo Grounds, Hippodrome racetrack, Rose Gardens, Japanese Gardens, Zoo, Golf Course, and entrance to BA city park is 3 block walk. Recoleta (with Evitas cemetary), Belgrano and Palermo all surround this wonderful neighborhood. Taxi are very reasonable, 30 pesos can get you from one end of city to other. Most rides are 10 peso or less. City bus is .80 pesos. Small grocery stores, sandwich shops, cafes, coffee shops, antique stores are all very inexpensive and popular with locals. Very safe neighborhood, which we have lived in for 5 years. Elevator and Full time property manager(Portero)/doorman, on site. 5th floor apt. with unobstructed views. Private Balcony with awning. Perfect for traveling couple or single on a budget. Good location for language school student.

Guest Book: we really enjoyed it and found it to be the perfect base for our stay, it is in a great area with fantastic restaurants. The information sheet was very helpful and we sampled many of the restaurants as well as the local bakery and the laundromat!! Again, thank you and Veronica for such an enjoyable visit to wonderful Argentina. With kindest regards, Bill Very nice indeed, and oh what a selection of restaurants. Friday night around 9pm after waking up, I walked downstairs into what seemed like a street convention. Went to bakery, had laundry done and found many internet cafes within walking distance. Easy area to live in. Will rent again..Nice. Ken This neighborhood is so wonderful and the tree-lined streets, outdoor cafes, cute boutiques are my idea of heaven! The CAFE/LECHE that I had this morning at El Classico was the BEST I have ever had! THANK YOU AGAIN for the blessing of getting to stay in THE FINEST HAVEN in B.A.! The view is magnificent! Mary Jo
