The Tapa Ti house is a newly remodeled home located in the seaside community of Vacationland, Kapoho, Hawaii and is now available for your retreat in the most desirable of areas. Enjoy your own thermally heated tide pool surrounded by lush foliage with the ocean just steps away. This two bedroom has just been finished with special touches for your enjoyment. Sleep in the Aloha room with a queen bed, separate lanai and ocean view or the Samauri room with twin futon and twin bed. An original Samauri costume from the movie 'The Last Samauri' hangs on the wall. Both bedrooms have wonderful views of the warm tide pool as well as the middle room which sleeps two on a queen futon. Tapa cloths from the island of Samoa furnishes the room for your enjoyment. Open kitchen and living room are furnished to turn-key, only bring food and drink to complete your relaxing stay. Kapoho Vacationland is located 30 miles from Hilo and 8 miles from the closest town, Pahoa. Markets and restaurants are available in the old town of Pahoa where you can go to farmers markets. Volcano National Park is about 45 minute drive. We have books in the library for you to discover the many beautiful regions to explore or just get your supplies and relax in a beautiful area. The snorkeling is the best on the island, see a multitude of tropical fish, coral of astounding colors and sea turtles.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • Nightly rate $125.00, 3 night minimum

  • Security deposit of $300.00 is required and 1/2 the rent to hold reservation. This is fully refundable prior to 30 days of date, after 30 days only 1/2 the rent will be refunded and 1 week prior rent deposit will not be refunded. The security deposit is fully refundable at check out upon inspection.

Notes: Be advised the pool is not fenced so knowing how to swim is a must. We recommend children be age 6 and above. We have local telephone, please bring calling card for long distance or check with your cell phone provider for coverage. We have books for your use to discover the area and points of interest along with some history of the island. There is also a small library of DVD movies as well as paperback novels. There is satellite TV in the Aloha bedroom and in the living room. Beach chairs, mats and towels for your use, 3 masks and snorkel. The pond has numerous koi and comet goldfish as well as tilapia for your viewing from the spacious lanai.
