Our townhouse is at the north end of Bethany, about 3 miles from the town in a small enclave within the Delaware Seashore State Park. Bethany is known as the 'quiet resort,' and this is the quietest part of Bethany. There is a small restaurant about 3 blocks south, but no other commercial. We look directly at the ocean, and are separated from the beach by a small area of dunes and natural parkland. The beach is easily accessed via a raised walkway that crosses the dunes; the walkway begins only steps from the front door. The beach area to the north is great for surf fishing. In addition, there are deep sea fishing charters available at the inlet area. The town of Bethany and its boardwalk, shops, and restaurants are only a 5 minute drive to the south; the nightlife of Dewey Beach and the boardwalk and trendy restaurants of Rehoboth are 10-15 minutes to the north; the outlet centers along Highway 1 north of Rehoboth are 20 minutes away -- plus No Sales Tax in Delaware!
