The Beach: You get to the beach, drop your bags, grab the huge beach cart we provide, load your stuff and take a quick stroll down to the ocean. There is a lifeguard stand within few yards of your beach access, so drop your chairs, open a cold drink and sit back and relax. If you are the more athletic type, go to the local beach store, pick up a boogie board (we recommend anyone swimming in the ocean attach a flotation device to them by a wrist or ankle leash - this is safe, fun and the waves don't take your board away). The surf not your speed then just take a stroll to the nearby fishing pier. You can pick up seashells as you walk along the surf to the pier. Day Two: Get up early, walk down to the beach and just wait. Day 3: Time to go shopping! Ladies try out the Unique Boutique. It is the funky pink beach cottage by the Lake. Dad and the kids can go to the lake and paddle boat or to the Kite/Surf Shop next door.

Education/Tours: Endless possibilities. Fort Fisher 2 miles away, Civil War Museum, Battlefield. The Aquarium full of marine life and a walking beach tour. Hop on the Ferry and go across to Southport, one of the oldest port towns in the nation. Run up to Duplin Winery (approximately 30 miles away) and enjoy local winemaking or pick up a bottle in our local grocery stores. Downtown Wilmington is full of historic attractions. Cornwallis House, the Bellamy Mansion, Cape Fear Museum (features an exhibit about Michael Jordan,a local sports hero) See the Battleship N.C. Go to the downtown Wilmington Waterfront to see the places Black Beard the Pirate roamed. Check out the Cotton Exchange. Shopping on every corner. How about a ride in a horse drawn carraige through the streets of historic down town Wilmington with a lively tour guide. If that is not enough, we have a Independence Mall on Oleander Drive in Wilimington. 4 huge wings full of stores.

Golfing,and other sports: We have too many golf courses to name. There are 3 golf courses within 5 miles of our duplex. The Cape (2miles), Beau Rivage(3miles) and Echo Farms(5miles). Also we have a Pete Dye championship golf course located at Landfall(approx. 15 miles away). Also available in our area is kayak rentals. We are only 2 miles from the Carolina Beach State Park, which has several hiking trails available. Fishing, fishing, fishing, whether it be surf fishing, pier fishing, sound fishing or going t the state park and dropping a line in Snow's Cut or the Cape Fear River. That is just fishing from the bank my friend. Now for deep fishing, there are charter boats galore, right in the heart of Caroiina Beach, also approx 3 miles from our duplex. Then there is the local boardwalk with an arcade and other attractions. Don't miss trying Britt's Donuts.
