Bar Harbor Cottage Summary
This house is great for family reunions. It is very private, located close to and between the town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
Situated above Frenchman Bay with over 12 acres of woodlands behind it, Sols Cliff House enjoys some of the most magnificent views on Mt. Desert Island. On its inland side, the house has views of Acadia National Park's mountains for which the island is so well known. It also includes a large dining room, a large living room, library, kitchen, butler's pantry and laundry room, six fireplaces (with the four on the ground floor available for use), a second floor porch overlooking the water, a long terrace along the water side of the house, two sheltered picnic areas in Italian style loggia and a large, detached game house.

The house sits up off the water and overlooks Frenchman Bay. There are no houses between Sols Cliff and the water and it is very private. Cadillac, the largest mountain on Mount Desert Island, is visible form the driveway side of the house.
Other interesting Activities: The Asticou, Thuya, and Rockefeller gardens as well as the Wild Gardens of Acadia, the Molly Dodd Tall Ship for sailing excursions, whale watching excursions, Sand beach, the Glen Mary Pool for children, the Park Loop Road drive for exploring Acadia National Park, as well as many and varied walks, easy to adventurous, throughout the park.
