Naalehu House Summary

Best ocean and mountain views in Discovery Harbour, a golf course community located near the rural village of Naalehu. Enjoy the pleasant ocean breezes on the 700 square foot lanai; with your binoculars you may be able to see the whales go by. On a clear day you can see the top of Moana Loa, and the laze plume from lava entering the ocean 45 miles away. The Punaluu Black Sand beach and the Green Sand beach are both short drives away, the entrance to Hawaii Volcano National Park is a close 45 minute drive. Restaurants and shopping are available in both Naalehu and Ocean View. High-speed Internet is available upon request. If you are seeking a calming vacation away from the maddening crowds but with every amenity to make your visit comfortable, then Hale Puu Waawaa is for you!

We are ten minutes from the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach and fifteen to the Green Sand Beach, which is the southernmost point in the entire United States. It is about a half hour to the historic Place of Refuge and snorkeling in Kealahekua Bay. Naalehue has restaurants, a market, a bakery, an internet cafe, and a Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays for your fresh vegetables, local coffee, and locally made gifts.
