Within just a short walk, you'll find the Town Square (shopping, dining, entertainment, ice skating and Corcoran's Pond for swimming, canoeing and paddle boating), the Waterville Valley Golf Course (9-hole), the White Mountain Athletic Club (indoor and outdoor pools, indoor tennis, racquetball, squash and workout rooms), the Town's Recreation Center (with programs for children of all ages, including day camps) and the Curious George Cottage (with programs for children and adults). Mountain biking and hiking is available all throughout the valley. Waterville Valley is located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest and abundant hiking and biking can be found in the surrounding area. Other regional attractions are a short drive away. Squam Lake Science Center is a must, along with the scenic drive across the Kancamangus highway to North Conway - shopping and other areas attractions, including StoryLand.
