Yarmouth House Details
Guest Comments: 2008 marks our fourth season renting out our family home. About half of our bookings are repeats, one family has stayed with us all four summers! Last year we did extensive tree cutting in order to open a stunning view of Lewis Bay and Nantucket Sound from both the pool area, the dining room and all second floor bedrooms. You can watch the Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard Ferries leave Hyannis Harbor and again as they round the tip of Great Island and head out on Nantucket Sound. We have refurnished the living room with very comfortable new sofas & ottoman (not the set shown in the photos) and refurnished all three primary bedrooms as well as the finished basement sleeping area. For the 2008 season, we redid the kitchen floor in top of the line hardwood to match the rest of the house, and added a 40 inch Sony Bravia High def TV to our media room.
One of our guests wrote:' We had a wonderful two weeks at your Great Island home this summer. We love the house. It's beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The neighborhood is so quiet- just the way we like it. The heated pool is just delightful. Out kids loved that room (Aerobeds in Loft). It was a great idea to add that room this year. ... The house has loads of living space, so your guests would not feel crowded. .. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Another of our guests wrote 'We had a fabulous time at your home. Thank you for opening your home to us.' To date four of our 2007 families have rebooked for 2008, two other 2007 families reported that they will stay with us the next time they visit Cape Cod! Our guests have come from New York, California, Maine, Chicago, Ireland, Scotland, Connecticut, etc. Let Great Island and our beautiful home become the highlight of your Cape Cod Summer as it has been for the Hayes family for the past 40 years.
2008 is second year in a row that we have booked eight July & August weeks before the end of February! We have available some lovely weeks in September!
