The beach is wide and flat. It's perfect for kids to run in the waves, build sand castles or have an Italian ice from the ice cream cart. The Ocean Isle Community Center offers activities for both young and old and the Museum of Coastal Carolina is full of interesting exhibits. Just off the island are many quaint shops, a movie theater, Go Carts, a variety of dining options, and a winery.
