If you are looking to 'Get Away' to an unspoiled, unhurried, unbelievable place; Our cottage on Beaver Island is it. Imagine a place that has been virtually untouched and unspoiled, that is Beaver Island. For a 'Truly' Relaxing nature filled vacation, this is the spot. The Summer, Fall and Winter are Spectacular! Getting to Beaver Island: The first stop is Charlevoix, MI, a Lake Michigan harbor city located approx 250 miles north of Detroit. From Charlevoix take a quick 15 minute flight or the 2 hour leisurely ferry ride on the Emerald Isle. Either way, it's an amazing adventure! When you arrive on the island you will find a place that will take you back in time. Slow, patient, friendly and Beautiful! You might want to stop at the Shamrock for a beverage after the ferry ride or take the scenic 15-20 minute drive straight out to the cottage. Distance is measured by time on the Island, most of the roads have not been paved...it's just another way to make you slow down!

Beaver Island is one of 5 Islands in the Archipelago located in Lake MIchigan. Beaver Island is 100 square miles and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are 7 inland lakes, many Beaver Dams, hundreds of trails, deer, bald Eagles, loons and many other forms of animal life. Beaver Island has only 300 people that live there year round, so if you're looking for a quiet Get away Beaver Island is it! Summer is fantastic, Fall is sensational and winter is gorgeous-the cross country skiing is GREAT! Spring isn't too bad either! Kayaking to the outer islands and on the inland lakes is a super way to spend the day. Fishing is also very popular. There are 3 restaurants on the Island, a great grocery store, several unique gift shops, 2 coffee shops, the library, marina a maritime museum as well as history of Beaver Island museum and 2 churches. Beaver Island is a wonderfully unique place to visit it's slow, peaceful, calming and most of all it's beautiful!

The cottage sits on a hill and is only 200 feet from the beach.
