Charming Villages: The village of Wilmington is a charming New England village with many restaurants, antique shops, book stores, bakeries, coffee shops, etc. 3 Miles up the road, the village of Dover [Mount Snow] has many restaurants across all price ranges. The two villages, especially Wilmington, draw many visitors just for the quaint stores and restaurants in all seasons: Summer, Fall Foliage, Winter, and Spring. The town share 2 lakes for summer swimming, boating, jet skiing, picnics, etc. In addition, there are reservoirs sites for camping, hiking and barbecuing close to a picturesque mountain water scene.

House Description: Located on a flat acre of land, the house provides a level area for families and friends to congregate in the backyard or on the back deck, looking out onto mountain scenery. With 5 bedrooms, there is ample sleeping quarters for 10 people. In addition, there is a clothes washer and dryer to accommodate long stays or weekend wash duty. The first floor has a kitchen, dining and living area with cathedral ceiling and a wall of windows looking out onto the mountains. Very good for a couple of families or group of friends.

Extra Activities: The house itself has a game room with ping pong and foosball as well as cable TV, VCR/DVD/CD player and stereo AM/FM radio. In addition, local communities open up their pools, sauna, and athletic facilities for local guests at a small fee. There is a local cinema with the latest movies. Two larger towns of Bennington and Brattelboro, within 20 miles, each offer shopping outlets, Bennington college, Bennington Pottery, museums, local fairs, country clubs for golf, strawberry festivals, etc.

Ski: 3 Miles from Haystack mountain a medium size ski resort ideal for families with small children. Single ski lodge allows for young children to ski without parents with all trails returning to one central ski lodge for snack and lunch. 5 miles from Mount Snow, the largest ski area in Southern Vermont. Closest big mountain in New England to NYC and Boston. Expert and beginner trails. Discount ski tickets available with sufficient notice. Stratton Mountian is about 30 minute drive, with Bromley mountain and Magic Mountain in similar area to Stratton.

Golf: 2 PGA style golf courses in immediate area. Haystack Golf course is my personal favorite. Beautiful PGA grade course 2 blocks from house. Mount Snow Gold, another PGA level course is about 5 miles from house. Several other PGA level or country club golf courses within a 30 minute drive. Golf lessons, Pro shop, etc.
