Amelia Island Condo Details
Great Location: The Terraces have a private beach boardwalk to the beach and is the closest oceanfront condo complex to historic Fernandina Beach where you will enjoy sight-seeing, wonderful shops, restaurants, ghost tours, horse drawn carriage rides, marina and deep sea fishing. The 15 unit complex has a small pool, secure interior hallways, elevator, assigned covered parking and is adjacent to an oceanfront park with volleyball and tennis courts. The entrance to Fort Clinch State Park is a short walk from our condo and features a historic fort with reenactments, fishing pier and 6 miles of off-road hiking/biking trails. Or walk to the Fort via the beach just remember to take a $1 for the entrance fee. Bird watching, shelling and shark tooth hunting or just hanging out the quiet beach are favorite activities at the park. Next door to our building is Sandy Bottoms, a casual oceanfront restaurant opening at 11am each offering anything from sandwiches to full dinners.
Activities: Hiking, Biking, Mini-Golf, Tennis, Fishing, Wildlife Viewing, Horseback Riding, Live Theater, Cinemas, Museums, Sightseeing, Swimming, Snorkeling/Diving, Boating, Sailing, Waterskiing, Surfing, Windsurfing, Parasailing, Jet Skiing, Shelling, Rafting, Fort Clinch State Park Activities, Strolling and Shopping in Historic Downtown, Restaurants, Many Many Water Sport Activities. Saint Mary's, Cumberland Island , Saint Simmons, Saint Augustine, and Savannah are also close by for you to visit. Numerous golf courses are also available in the area including well-known Sawgrass & TPC.
Area Description: We are a short 30 minute drive from the Jacksonville Airport. The beautiful island of Amelia is located in the southernmost chain of the Atlantic coast barrier islands that stretch from North Carolina to Florida. It is in the northeastern corner of Florida and is a home-away-from-home for many vacationers year round. Southern Living Magazine describes historic Fernandina Beach as 'one of the most charming little towns in Florida'.
Golf: There a numerous golf courses in the area including the well-known courses TPC and Sawgrass.
