West Tisbury House Summary

3000 square foot home just 10 minutes walk (or very quick bike/ drive) to the beautiful, north shore Lamberts Cove Beach. The calm water of this north shore beach is ideal for children and access to this beach is exclusive to West Tisbury residents/ renters. Tranquil Seth's Pond is also nearby if you fancy a freshwater swim instead! The house is located on a quiet road where you can enjoy your evening drink on one of the enormous front porches or the back deck. The ground floor offers plenty of space for the whole family with both a living room and spacious den. The kitchen will delight the family chef with its professional quality gas stove/ oven/ griddle. On this floor there is also a separate dining room, powder room and a laundry/ mud room. Upstairs is a huge master bedroom (w/ ensuite bathroom and large walk-in closet), another over sized bedroom w/ queen bed and a further bedroom with 4 bunks. The basement games room has both ping pong and Foosball tables.

Walk to Lambert's Cove beach and Seth's Pond or drive to explore the many public beaches on the island including our favorite: Long Point (conservation land accessible to the public for small fee). Town of Vineyard Haven is a short drive with great shopping, restaurants, busy marina, sailboat/kayak rentals, etc. Further afield but still an easy drive are the historic and lively towns of Edgartown & Oak Bluffs (don't let your children miss the oldest running carousel, 'Flying Horses' in Oak Bluffs). Loads of forest and other conservation land for both cyclists and walkers to explore. And so much more!!

West Tisbury House Details

Distance to Beach: The closest beach is the stunning Lambert's Cove Beach. Walk .4 miles on paved roads to the parking lot and then another .2 miles on a quiet sandy path through the woods which opens dramatically onto the sea. The total walk from the house to where you can plop down your towel is .6 miles. To give you a frame of reference, it takes about 10 - 12 minutes for a reasonably fit adult to do the walk and our 6 year old does it in about 15 (20 if she has to pick up every stone on the way!).
