Rosarito Beach: Five minutes south is festive Rosarito Beach, home of the historic Rosarito Beach Hotel, spas, shops, cantinas, dance clubs & restaurants. Best Restaurants are 'El Nido' for excellent steaks, Mexican food & seafood in an intimate & tropical ambiance. 'La Guerita' for Puerto Nuevo style lobster (everyone is fascinated by the huge lobster tank, the size of a kiddie pool!). 'Le Costeau' for authentic French cuisine & ambiance (the locals love it). 'Papas & Beers' for a rowdy (young) crowd, loud music, tasty tacos & strong margaritas! 'Castillo Del Mar' an ocean front bar with breathtaking views of waves and ocean boulders and cliffs - perfect for lots of PDA's (Public Displays of Affection)!
Playas Tijuana: Is just north of San Antonio Del Mar. Very much a locals area, few tourists visit this town though it does offer a popular bullfighting arena, major stores and food chains & beautiful seafood restaurants.
Ensenada: About an hour's drive south of San Antonio del Mar. This cruise ship town is very cosmopolitan and features beautiful restaurants, fish market, wine bars, cafe houses, 1000's of shops, clean cobble stone streets, the world famous Hussongs Cantina, surf trips, fishing trips, wineries, art galleries, nearby golf. Ensenada has to be one of Mexico's most exciting and fun cities.
Golf: Real del Mar, owned and run by the Marriott Resorts, is located directly across the street from San Antonio del Mar. Real del Mar also features a full spa, work out gym, tennis courts, verdant grounds and ocean views. Bajamar is about 45 minutes south of your vacation home and is considered a superior golf resort. Whales have been spotted by golfers, pretty amazing!
