Summer Fun: In summer, enjoy: swimming in the backyard in Lake Ontario; beachcombing at the sandy Sodus Point beach; aluminum fishing boat, speed boat; Sodus Bay Yacht club and marina, the Sodus Heights Golf Club 18 hole course; tennis; miniature golf, go-carts, bonfires; flea markets, country stores, farmers markets with homemade muffins and pies and fresh grown produce; pick your own apples; small town ambiance, antiques, crafts, festivals, multiple restaurant, Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum; Coast Guard Station; Chimney Bluffs State Park. Free concerts and movies by the beach, parks, hamburger stands, jet skiing, parasailing/ballooning; Williamson Speedway- all within 15 miles!
Winter Fun: Snowmobiling and Cross Country Skiing on the many nature trails of Wayne County! Downhill Skiing and Tobogganing at Brantling Ski Slopes. Wayne County has everything for the hunting enthusiast, including over 10,000 acres of public hunting grounds. A recent study using NY State Big Buck Club Trophy records rated Wayne County 7th in the state for producing 'wall hanging' deer. The family will enjoy Ice Fishing, Ice Skating, and even Ice Boat Rides at local Winter Festivals. After a long fun day in the snow, make an apple pie in the fully equipped kitchen (or buy one at a farmers market) and enjoy it by the wood-burning fire as you watch the sunset over Lake Ontario.
