Mad River Glen - 5 miles: Mad River Glen is located in central Vermont’s picturesque, Mad River Valley and is only a 3-mi drive from the Sugarbush Resort. It lies just 45 mi southeast of Burlington, Vermont via Interstate 89. It is 3 hrs from Boston and Hartford, 2 hours from Montreal and 6 hours from New York City. Mad River’s unique and extensive trail system descends down General Stark Mountain following the natural contours of the mountain. The original developers of Mad River Glen worked with nature to create a ski area that is now recognized for the best ski terrain in New England. The mountain’s huge natural snowfall, northern exposure, and bowl shape work together to create a ski area that holds snow like no other. Summit Elevation: 3,637 Feet Base Elevation: 1,600 Feet Vertical Drop: 2,037 feet of real vertical, one lift to the top and no run outs. Lifts: 1 Single Chair - America’s favorite chairlift. The Single is the last surviving diesel powered Single Chairlift in North America.
