Fishing and water sports in Lake Kaweah: The beautiful Lake Kaweah offers all year fishing, sailing, boating, water skiing and swimming. Comfortable picnicking facilities are maintained on the oak-covered shores of the lake. Houseboats are available at the marina for rent.
Ski at Wolverton im Sequoia NP: Wolverton Ski Area in Sequoia National park has four slopes with rope tows and affords excellent skiing.
Mineral King backpacking and horseback riding: Mineral King NP, at altitudes of 7900 to 12,400 feet, is unsurpassed in natural splendor. It is only 25 miles distance via a picturesque road from Three Rivers. A favorite area for backpackers, It offers an abundance of trails, streams, lakes and wildlife. Horseback riding and pack horses also are available for those desiring to explore the pack country
