Featured in the Christmas Parade of Homes, our Plantation House is located in Miller County-Seminole County. It sits on several acres in an isolated rural area. The house has a handicap ramp in the rear, baby bed, special room with no carpet or vinyl for children with allergies, large porch areas. Pets are welcome! There are even two dogs on the premises. This house is 100 years old with gables. There is water and electricity for recreational vehicles. The house includes all household appliances. The house is 65 miles from Tallahassee, FL, 35 miles from Dothan, AL, 95 miles from Gulf of Mexico, 20 miles from Lake Seminole, 40 miles from Lake Eufaula and Fort Gaines. The house is located in the middle of the best deer, quail and duck hunting areas in the United States.

This area was primarily agricultural for the last 175 years. Today the main incomes come from industry both small and large. Also, Dothan, AL, Bainbridge, GA, Tallahassee, FL, and Albany, GA are major retail centers. All of these towns to include Marianna, FL, have colleges and major shopping centers. The area's most note worthy accomplishment at this time is Swap Gravy in Colquitt, GA. This drama depicts rural life as it was some 75 years ago. The folk lore and nostalgia have great appeal and this drama has gained national attention. It is skillfully done by locals and professional actors. Weddings, reunions and other group events are popular in this area. The tri-state area also has tremendous hunting and fishing opportunities to include the near by Gulf, Lake Seminole, The Flint River, Chatahoochee River and many area hunting preserves. One of the great beauties of this area is that it is far enough North to have a winter and summer season.
