You can choose 9 hole par 3 golf course (Free off-seas/ $3 season), 10 tennis courts, 3 pools PLUS kiddie pool, hot tub, bocce, shuffleboard, clubhouse/library, organized card games, exercise/sauna, and plenty of walking paths. No need to leave Ocean Village. Locally, there is a good pizza/Italian shop that delivers to your door.
Area Amenities: The Intracoastal Waterway lies between island and mainland. Visit some marinas, charter fishing trip, rent pontoon boats, join kayaking expeditions, or fish off jetty. The possibilities are endless. For shopping, there are at least 3 major malls w/in easy driving distance. Ft. Pierce and surrounding towns now boast vibrant villages with great shops and restaurants. Some favorites are Vero Beach, Jensen Beach, and Stuart. For excursions W. Palm Beach, Disney World, Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios, and Lake Okeechobee are easy day trips.
