'Casa Colores' is our most spacious house. This 60-year-old home is set 170 feet back off Otero Street in a quiet natural bowl of cedar & sage. It features a rich palette of 37 delightful and fully integrated colors and contains Southwest / International decor with museum quality artifacts & paintings. With comfortable leather sofas, a piano, a gaming area, a large dining table-- Casa Colores' generous social areas are the gathering space for the entire compound (pictured). A separate, well-equipped kitchen is just off the dining room (pictured). A secluded rear garden under cottonwood trees and with barbeque provides a second seasonal gathering place. 'Casa Colores' provides a total of 1700 sq ft and 3 bedrooms & 2 baths to sleep 6. For larger groups needing additional sleeping accommodations, see the combinations listed below.

The compound consists of four adobe homes: Casa Colores (this listing), Casa Adore (Listing #126506 ), Casa Linde (Listing #126404) and Casa Folklorica. The homes can be booked separately or together.
Casa Colores (3 BR/2 baths; sleeps up to 6) $275-$310/night.
Casa Adore' (1 BR/1.5 baths; sleeps up to 4 w/ queen futon) $145/-$165/night.
To sleep up to 20 max, add Casas Linde and Folklorica.
3 night minimum bookings.

- Casa Colores has two separate sleeping wings. One wing has two spacious bedrooms--one with a king bed and fireplace; the other with viga beam ceiling and a king or 2-twin-bed option. These two bedrooms share a full bath. The other sleeping wing is quietly positioned on the opposite side of the house and has a bed/bath suite with queen bed, skylight, separate entrance and a light-filled and bricked floor bathroom. Kilim rugs, tribal sculptures, and other exotic artifacts are ubiquitous throughout.

Aside from its easy accessibility to all Santa Fe has to offer, Otero-by-the-Plaza offers spacious gathering spaces, quiet privacy, and delightful colors with international art and artifacts. The Compound can accommodate up to 16 guests. Otero-by-the-Plaza is also affiliated with four other quality homes in the same quiet, historic neighborhood. All together, we can accommodate up to 32 guests. As such, we offer a flexible and beautiful launching pad for groups with varied interests to disperse at will, easily regroup, share good times, and create lasting memories. A favorite for reunions, multi-family get-togethers, and other celebratory occasions!
Your Hosts: Proprietor, Sir Dr Russell Betts ('Russ') lived & worked most of his professional life in Asia, the South Pacific & Europe, addressing through non-governmental agencies issues of social, economic, & political change. His partner, Noel Bennett, lived most of her life in the Southwest. She is an abstract artist. She also authored 9 books on Navajo weaving, history, & culture, and was a prominent national figure in the weaving world.
