Culpeper Cottage Details
Family Adventure!: Camp out, roast marshmallows, explore the fields and woods, identify constellations stay on the deck and spot deer or turkey. It will be unforgettable. The greatest challenge will be getting everyone back in the car when it is time to leave. Depending on the season, you can sled, hike, swim, fish, collect leaves or nuts, or a build a dam in the creek. Nearby, you can hike Old Rag, swim in a mountain pool or ski at Wintergreen or Massanutten. Perhaps an old fashioned Christmas holiday would be just the ticket. Come and stay for a weekend or a month.
Simplify!: Just for you or maybe two. Enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the rural life. Read, walk, watch, sit, write, paint or just listen; like a miracle the stress will melt away. It will be difficult to leave and we will gladly schedule your return.
Love History, Wineries and Fine Dining?: Use the cottage as your base and within a 50 mile drive in any direction the history of America will unfold. Visit the Presidential homes of Jefferson, Monroe, and Madison, area Civil War Battlefields-Brandy Station, Wilderness, Fredericksburg- or quaint villages from another time- Little Washington, Sperryville or historic Culpeper. How about museums? You will find them in Culpeper, Orange and Fredericksburg. Wineries and 4 star restaurants abound in Culpeper, Madison, Rapahhannock and Orange Counties. You will need at least two full days to scratch the surface on these excursions. We can assist with links for times, directions and contact info.
