Locals & Activities: Just 20 minutes to Mt. Bachelor, 20 minutes to Bend, one hour drive to Crater Lake. Sun River airport or Redmond airport 35 minutes away. Within a short drive to several other activities, golf course, mountain biking, white water rafting, waterfalls, hiking trails, and volcanic areas. Sun River has 2 swimming pools with your free passes. Sun River has 2 golf courses. It also has a natural center and an observatory for your enjoyment. Ft Rick Park is only 1/4 mile away and has children's play equipment tennis, volleyball, and picnic area. New private sports club with unlimited access with the only rock climbing wall in Sun River. Winter days there is downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, dog sled riding, ice skating, snow cave camping and snowmobiling.
